"In illo tempore": Scarlatti's St John's Passion

- Vocatio:Responsio's first tour saw a performance of the rarely heard "St John's Passion" by Alessandro Scarlatti, in only the second and third performances of the piece in the UK (first in Liverpool, 2019).
Antonio Vivaldi: The Four Seasons

- An exploration of Vivaldi's famous "Four Seasons" through the lens of his accompanying sonnets.

EURO 2021 final ... through eighteenth-century eyes

- Using the penalty shootout of Italy 1-1 England (3-2p) as a point of departure to explain the relationship between William Hayes & Charles Avison.

Democratising the "Double": Bach's BWV 1043 revisited

- Journeying through the eighteenth-century's most famous composers, an exploration of the equality of parts (even in solo concertos) in this repertoire.

Leipzig's "Other" Options: Graupner & Bach
St Michael at the Northgate, Oxford, Oxfordshire
- A look at the appointment of Thomaskantor in Leipzig in 1723, which ultimately went to J.S. Bach who was third choice (behind Telemann & Graupner).
Les Quatre Fabuleux: Viotti, Baillot, Rode & Kreutzer

- In Vocatio:Responsio's most ambitious project, this concert featured four violin concertos from nineteenth-century France.
Stabat Mater: Albinoni & d'Astorga

- A late-night performance of choral music, featuring Emanuele d'Astorga's rarely heard Stabat Mater in C Minor, first performed in Oxford in 1713.
L'Armonia: Rules versus Invention
Keble College Chapel, Oxford, Oxfordshire
- A comparison between the Op.3 set of concertos and the Op.8 set by Antonio Vivaldi, using the word "Harmony" as a point of departure.
The Boy "Wunders": Mozart & Mendelssohn

- In our first ever programme, Vocatio:Responsio examined the childhoods of Mozart and Mendelssohn in criticism of the child "genius" model.
