From everyone associated with Vocatio:Responsio, we hope you enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing Christmas, and are geared up for the start of 2026. We wanted to share with you our events in the second term of the academic year (January-March), which includes some very exciting projects that even take us outside of Oxford!
Antonio Vivaldi: The Four Seasons
Monday 9th February, 8pm
Pusey House Chapel, OX1 3LZ
Our first concert of the year invites you to hear this masterpiece of eighteenth-century music through fresh ears, as we look forward to unearthing one of the greatest musical stories to stand the test of time.
Join us as we perform the first Passion setting written in seventeenth-century Italy, thinking about music’s relationship with spoken text and how music affects our perception of the words we are hearing.
We are proud to announce our first multi-concert project, including our first concert outside of Oxfordshire, as in March 2026 we look forward to spending time in Liverpool, the home city of our artistic director Samuel Oliver-Sherry. Our main focus will be delivering a benefit concert at St Michaels Church in Blundellsands, aiding their Renovation Fund project.
Our tour will see us play two concerts, listed above, as well as deliver an educational outreach session with St Michael's Church of England High School in Crosby. The whole event will be funded by Vocatio:Responsio, with 15 musicians travelling up to Liverpool with all expenses covered.
If you would like to donate to Vocatio:Responsio and aid the covering of the costs, any help would be appreciated.
